* Yooperlite is a stone found in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, (People who live in this region call themselves, “Yoopers” a play on the UP, short for Upper Peninsula).
* Yooperlites are a type of syenite with sodalite inclusions.
* By day, they look like common lake rocks, but in the dark, or under a UV light, they come to life, as the UV-reactive sodalite, (which is found only in this area, due to glacial action some 8000 to 10 000 years ago), fluoresces and glows a beautiful neon orange.
* Yooperlite is a powerful stone for opening your Throat Chakra and developing self-expression, creating your own voice, and discovering unique aspects about yourself.
* Yooperlite facilitates & encourages personal growth, positivity and seeing the world from a new perspective.
